Had a hard time convincing my wife to wear the Mate, but after a small bout of vertigo she is convinced and wears it daily.
As a carer, I find the Mate emergency alarm system easy to charge and like the way the low battery alert reminds me to drop it in the charger.
Charging only takes about an hour so she can wear it all day, in bed and when having a shower.
The quality of the device is top shelf and the service I received from John and the team was second to none. They answered all my questions patiently.
My wife’s confidence has grown since and we now often take trips to the shops and the beach.
I highly recommend this emergency alarm system.
So grateful to the NDIS for supplying this SOS emergency alarm system to my son. It allows his full time carers to attend to other duties with the knowledge that they will be alerted in the event of an incident.
Mum’s really happy with her Mate. We’re happy that she’s wearing it all the time and only takes it off and puts it on her bedside table when she’s in bed. I’m sure she feels safer having this emergency alarm system on her and even if she gets a bit confused, hopefully she’ll be able to figure it out enough to push the SOS button long enough for the call center and Mum’s contacts to know something may be wrong.
The auto-answer function of the incoming phone calls is excellent too. It’s so much better than her trying to get to her phone and trying to figure out how to answer it. Another good feature is that it tells her the device is charging, even though she struggles to remember that it’ll tell her things like that. The speaker and microphone of this emergency alarm system work really well too. It doesn’t matter if it’s inside or outside her shirt, either way it’s very clear.
I have multiple medical problems but refuse to give up my independence, so the Mate emergency alarm system has enabled me to retain my confidence to go to my meetings and to medical appointments with little or no assistance from others.
I am willing to chat to others for a personal recommendation if that is what it takes for you to get one of these Mates. We all need help but the less the better in my book.
I should mention that Aged care do pay for them if you qualify.
